Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, and screwdrivers.
  • Disconnect the vehicle battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
2. Replace the Power Mirror Switch
  1. Remove the switch panel:

    • Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry the switch panel away from the door.
    • Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the panel.
  2. Install the new switch:

    • Connect the new power mirror switch to the wiring harness.
    • Snap the switch panel back into place in the door.
3. Check and Replace Fuse
  1. Locate the fuse box:

    • Open the driver’s side door and find the fuse box cover on the left side of the dashboard.
  2. Inspect the mirror fuse:

    • Remove the fuse cover and locate the power mirror fuse (refer to the owner’s manual for the exact fuse number).
    • Check if the fuse is blown (the metal strip inside will be broken).
  3. Replace the fuse:

    • If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage rating.
    • Re-secure the fuse box cover.
4. Test the Mirror Motors
  1. Access the mirror assembly:

    • If the mirrors are still unresponsive, carefully remove the door panel (using a socket set and screwdrivers).
  2. Test the mirror motors:

    • Disconnect the wiring harness from the mirror motor.
    • Apply direct voltage (12V) to the mirror motor terminals to check for functionality.
  3. Replace the mirror assembly if necessary:

    • If the mirror motor does not respond, remove the entire mirror assembly and replace it with a new one.
