  • Disconnect the vehicle battery if you plan to reprogram the key fob.
2. Replace the Key Fob Battery
  • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  • Carefully remove the old battery from its compartment, noting the orientation (positive/negative).
  • Insert the new battery in the same orientation.
  • Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob (if needed)
  • Sit in the driver's seat with all doors closed.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  • Cycle the ignition from "ON" to "OFF" five times, ending in the "ON" position.
  • Press the "Lock" button on the key fob within 30 seconds. The doors should lock and unlock to confirm successful programming.
  • Turn the ignition to "OFF" to exit programming mode.
