1. Preparation

  • Locate the master cylinder reservoir and remove the cap.

3. Bleed the Brake System
  • Start with the wheel farthest from the master cylinder (typically the right rear).
  • Attach a clear hose to the bleeder valve on the brake caliper and place the other end in a catch container.
  • Have an assistant pump the brake pedal several times and hold it down.
  • Open the bleeder valve to release air and fluid; close it before your assistant releases the pedal.
  • Repeat this process until no air bubbles are visible in the fluid.
