Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, torque wrench, oxygen sensor socket, safety gloves, and safety goggles.
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Remove the Old Oxygen Sensor
  1. Locate the oxygen sensor (upstream or downstream based on the diagnosis).
  2. Use the oxygen sensor socket to carefully unscrew the sensor from its mounting location.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector by pressing the tab and pulling it apart.
