Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Clean cloth or paper towel
  • Safety Warnings: Ensure the engine is off and cool before opening the hood to avoid burns.
2. Check Fluid Level
  1. Open the hood and secure it with the prop rod.
  2. Locate the power steering fluid reservoir, which is typically on the driver’s side near the engine.
  3. Remove the reservoir cap or dipstick.
  4. Wipe the dipstick clean with a cloth to ensure an accurate reading.
  5. Reinsert the dipstick or cap back into the reservoir without screwing it in to check the fluid level.
  6. Observe the level against the "Full" and "Low" marks on the reservoir. If the fluid is below the "Low" mark, it needs to be topped off.
3. Add Power Steering Fluid
  1. If necessary, add the recommended power steering fluid (check the owner’s manual for specifications).
  2. Use a funnel to avoid spills, and fill the reservoir to the "Full" mark.
  3. Replace the cap securely after checking and topping off the fluid.
4. Clean Up
  • Wipe any spills or drips around the reservoir area to prevent contamination and improve visibility.
