Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and materials.
  • Tools Required: Small flathead screwdriver or a coin.
  • Ensure you are working in a well-lit area.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam on the edge of the key fob.
  • Insert the small flathead screwdriver or coin into the seam and gently twist to pry open the key fob casing without damaging it.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Identify the battery type (CR2032 is commonly used for this model).
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive and negative sides).
  • Carefully remove the old battery by sliding it out or using your fingers to lift it out.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Insert the new battery into the compartment, ensuring the same orientation as the old battery (positive side facing up).
  • Press down gently to ensure it is seated properly.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing.
  • Firmly press the two halves together until they click into place.
  • Ensure there are no gaps between the two halves indicating it is sealed properly.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand near the vehicle and press the buttons on the key fob to verify functionality.
  • Check the range and responsiveness of the key fob.
