Remove the Sensors
a. Locate the upstream and downstream oxygen sensors.
b. Use the socket set to carefully unscrew the sensors from their locations.
c. Disconnect the wiring harness from each sensor.
Test the Sensors
a. Using a multimeter, check the resistance of the upstream sensor.
b. Compare readings with the manufacturer's specifications.
c. If out of spec, replace the sensor with a new one.
Install New Sensors
a. Apply anti-seize compound to the threads of the new sensors.
b. Install the new upstream and downstream sensors by hand-tightening and then securing with a torque wrench to the manufacturer's specifications.
