1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small flathead screwdriver, new key fob battery (CR2032), multimeter (optional).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a well-lit area and that you have access to the spare key fob if necessary.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  • Step 1: Open the key fob by inserting a small flathead screwdriver in the seam and gently prying it apart.
  • Step 2: Remove the old battery, noting the orientation of the positive (+) and negative (-) sides.
  • Step 3: Insert the new CR2032 battery in the same orientation as the old battery.
