Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather required tools: small flathead screwdriver or a coin, replacement battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure you are working in a clean area to avoid losing small components.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam along the edge of the key fob.
  • Carefully insert the small flathead screwdriver or coin into the seam and gently twist to separate the two halves of the key fob. Take care not to damage the casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Once the key fob is open, locate the battery compartment.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (which side is positive and negative).
  • Remove the old battery by gently prying it out using the screwdriver.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Take the new CR2032 battery and insert it into the battery compartment in the same orientation as the old battery.
  • Ensure the battery is seated securely in place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until you hear a click, indicating that they are securely closed.
  • Check that all buttons are functioning correctly by pressing them.
