1. Preparation

Tools Required:

  • Flathead screwdriver (optional, for battery replacement)
  • Small Phillips screwdriver (if needed for fob disassembly)
  • Replacement battery (typically CR2032)
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the key fob by inserting a flathead screwdriver into the seam to gently pry it apart.
  2. Remove the old battery and dispose of it properly.
  3. Insert the new battery, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  4. Snap the key fob back together securely.
3. Reset Key Fob
  1. Sit inside the vehicle with all doors closed.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  3. Press and hold the "Lock" button on the key fob for 5 seconds.
  4. Turn the ignition to the "OFF" position and then back to "ON" again.
