Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver (for opening the fob), new battery (if needed), and the owner's manual.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a secure location and all doors are closed.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old battery while noting the orientation (positive and negative sides).
  3. Insert the new battery in the same orientation.
  4. Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob
  1. Sit inside the vehicle with all doors closed.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
  3. Turn the key back to "Off" and remove it from the ignition.
  4. Press and hold the "Lock" button on the key fob while inserting the key back into the ignition and turning it to "On" again.
