Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, Torx driver (T25), vacuum cleaner (optional for cleaning).
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent any electrical issues while working.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  • Locate the glove box. Open it fully and remove any contents inside.
  • Identify the glove box stoppers on either side. Pinch them inward to release the glove box from the hinges and lower it gently.
  • Remove the screws securing the cabin air filter cover (typically T25 screws). Keep these screws safe for reinstallation.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  • Pull the cover off to expose the cabin air filter.
  • Carefully pull out the old cabin air filter, noting its orientation for the new filter installation.
  • Inspect the filter slot for debris. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean any dust or particles if necessary.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  • Take the new cabin air filter and ensure it is oriented the same way as the old filter (indicated by arrows on the filter).
  • Slide the new filter into place, ensuring a snug fit.
  • Replace the cabin air filter cover and secure it with the screws removed earlier.
5. Reassemble the Glove Box
  • Lift the glove box back into position and reinsert the stoppers to lock it in place.
  • Reinsert any items that were in the glove box.
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
