Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe, flat area, and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Remove the Ignition Coil
  • Locate the ignition coil on the engine (typically on top of the engine near the spark plugs).
  • Remove any engine covers or components obstructing access to the ignition coil.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition coil by pressing the tab and pulling it off.
  • Remove the securing bolts of the ignition coil using a socket set (usually 10mm).
  • Lift the ignition coil straight out of its position.
3. Install the New Ignition Coil
  • Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the inside of the new ignition coil boot to facilitate installation.
  • Position the new ignition coil into the mounting hole, ensuring it seats properly.
