Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Gather necessary tools: clean cloth or dipstick for checking fluid levels.
2. Locate the Power Steering Fluid Reservoir
  • Open the hood and secure it with the prop rod.
  • Identify the power steering fluid reservoir, typically located near the engine on the driver's side. It is usually labeled.
3. Check Fluid Level
  • Remove the cap from the reservoir and wipe the dipstick or the end of the cap with a clean cloth.
  • Insert the dipstick back into the reservoir without screwing it in and then remove it again.
  • Check the fluid level against the markings on the dipstick or reservoir. The level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks.
4. Add Fluid if Necessary
  • If the fluid level is below the "MIN" mark, add the appropriate power steering fluid (usually ATF or specific power steering fluid as per the manufacturer's specifications) until it reaches the "MAX" mark.
  • Take care not to overfill.
5. Replace the Cap
  • After checking or adding fluid, securely replace the cap on the power steering fluid reservoir.
  • Close the hood of the vehicle.
