  • Safety Warnings: Ensure the vehicle is in park and the ignition is off.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use the flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old battery carefully and dispose of it properly.
  3. Insert the new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  4. Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob
  1. Sit in the vehicle and close all doors.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the 'ON' position (do not start the engine).
  3. Press and hold the lock button on the key fob for 2-3 seconds.
  4. Turn the key back to the 'OFF' position and remove it.
  5. Test the key fob by pressing the unlock button to confirm functionality.
4. Check Vehicle Receiver
  1. Utilize the OBD-II scanner to check for any fault codes related to the keyless entry system.
  2. If codes are found, refer to the service manual for troubleshooting specific codes.
  3. Clear any codes and re-test the key fob functionality.
