Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface and turn off the engine.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location with adequate lighting.
2. Locate the Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the glove compartment and remove any contents inside.
  • Locate the two stops on the sides of the glove compartment and gently press them inward to release the compartment from its hinges, allowing it to drop down.
3. Remove the Cabin Air Filter Cover
  • Find the cabin air filter access cover, which is located behind the glove compartment.
  • Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the cover, or remove the screws if applicable.
4. Replace the Cabin Air Filter
  • Slide the old cabin air filter out carefully. Note the orientation of the filter for proper installation of the new filter.
  • Install the new cabin air filter in the same orientation as the old one, ensuring it fits securely in place.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  • Reattach the cabin air filter cover by snapping it back into place or securing it with screws.
  • Lift the glove compartment back up and push the side stops back into their original position. Ensure it is securely closed.
6. Final Checks
  • Start the vehicle and turn on the HVAC system to verify airflow and check for any unusual sounds.
