Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the ignition off.
  • Disconnect the 12V battery to prevent electrical shorts during repairs.
2. Inspect and Replace Wiper Blades
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, replacement wiper blades.
  • Remove the wiper blade from the arm by pressing the release tab and sliding it off.
  • Install the new wiper blade by sliding it onto the arm until it clicks into place.
  • Repeat for the other wiper blade if necessary.
3. Check and Replace Wiper Fuse
  • Tools Required: Fuse puller or needle-nose pliers.
  • Locate the fuse box; typically found under the dashboard or in the trunk.
  • Identify the wiper fuse using the fuse diagram located on the cover of the fuse box.
  • Remove the fuse and inspect it for continuity. Replace with a fuse of the same amperage if blown.
4. Test Wiper Motor
  • Tools Required: Multimeter.
  • Reconnect the 12V battery.
  • Activate the wipers on the touchscreen to check for motor operation.
  • Use a multimeter to check for voltage at the wiper motor connector when activated. If no voltage is present, further investigation into the wiring may be needed.
5. Software Reset
  • If mechanical issues are not found, perform a soft reset of the vehicle's computer system.
  • Press and hold both scroll wheels on the steering wheel until the screen turns off and the Tesla logo appears.
