Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked and power is stable.
  • Have a small tool (like a pen) ready to assist with the reset process if needed.
2. Perform a Soft Reset
  1. Locate the two scroll wheels on the steering wheel.
  2. Press and hold both scroll wheels simultaneously for approximately 10 seconds.
  3. Release the scroll wheels when the screen goes black and the Tesla logo appears.
  4. Wait for the infotainment system to reboot, which may take a minute.
3. Perform a Hard Reset (if soft reset fails)
  1. Disconnect the vehicle from any charging source.
  2. Open the front trunk (frunk) and locate the 12V battery.
  3. Disconnect the negative terminal of the 12V battery using a socket wrench.
  4. Wait for at least 2 minutes to ensure all systems are powered down.
  5. Reconnect the negative terminal securely and close the frunk.
  6. Power the vehicle back on and check the infotainment system.
