Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver, clean cloth, and vacuum cleaner.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and turned off.
  • Disconnect the vehicle from any charging source.
2. Locate the Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the front trunk (frunk) of the Tesla Model S.
  • Remove the plastic cover located at the back of the frunk by unscrewing the retaining screws using a flathead screwdriver.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  • Locate the cabin air filter housing; it usually has a latch or clips holding it in place.
  • Release the clips or latches and carefully pull the housing cover off.
  • Remove the old cabin air filter by sliding it out of the housing. Take note of its orientation for installing the new filter.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  • Take the new cabin air filter and insert it into the housing in the same orientation as the old filter.
  • Replace the housing cover and secure it with the clips or latches.
  • Reattach the plastic cover in the frunk and secure it with the screws.
5. Final Checks
  • Clean any debris from the area around the filter.
  • Ensure all covers and components are securely fastened before closing the frunk.
