Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the tires are at the recommended pressure.
  • Disconnect the 12V battery to prevent electrical issues during the repair.
2. Remove Wheel
  • Loosen the lug nuts on the affected wheel with a lug wrench.
  • Safely lift the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the lug nuts completely and take off the wheel.
3. Access and Replace TPMS Sensor
  • Locate the tire pressure sensor mounted on the inside of the tire rim.
  • Remove the valve stem nut using a socket wrench and carefully detach the sensor from the rim.
  • Install the new TPMS sensor by attaching it to the valve stem and securing it with the nut. Torque the nut to the manufacturer's specification (typically around 5-7 Nm).
4. Reassemble Wheel
  • Reinstall the wheel onto the hub, ensuring it is properly aligned.
  • Hand-tighten the lug nuts before lowering the vehicle.
  • Once the vehicle is on the ground, use the torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to the manufacturer's specification (usually 100-110 Nm).
5. Reset TPMS
  • Reconnect the 12V battery.
  • Power on the vehicle and navigate to the TPMS reset function in the settings menu.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to recalibrate the TPMS system.
