Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Lift the Vehicle
  • Use a jack to lift the front of the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  • Ensure the vehicle is stable before proceeding.
3. Remove the Wheel
  • Use a lug wrench to remove the lug nuts and take off the front wheel.
4. Inspect Tie Rod Ends
  • Locate the inner and outer tie rod ends.
  • Check for any signs of wear, such as cracks, fraying, or excessive play.
  • If damaged, proceed to replace them.
5. Replace Tie Rod Ends (if necessary)
  • Outer Tie Rod End:

    • Use a wrench to remove the nut securing the outer tie rod end to the steering knuckle.
    • Use a tie rod puller to separate the outer tie rod end from the knuckle.
    • Install the new outer tie rod end and secure it with the nut.
  • Inner Tie Rod End:

    • Remove the boot clamp and slide the boot back.
    • Use a wrench to unscrew the inner tie rod end from the steering rack.
    • Install the new inner tie rod end and secure it in place.
6. Reassemble and Lower Vehicle
  • Reinstall the wheel and secure with lug nuts.
  • Lower the vehicle back to the ground.
7. Alignment Check
  • Perform a wheel alignment to ensure proper handling and tire wear.
