Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the vehicle.
2. Replace Spark Plugs
  • Remove the engine cover if applicable using a socket set.
  • Using a spark plug socket, remove the old spark plugs.
  • Check the new spark plugs' gap and adjust if necessary.
  • Install the new spark plugs and torque them to manufacturer specifications (typically around 13-15 lb-ft).
  • Reattach the engine cover.
3. Fuel Pressure Check
  • Connect the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail test port.
  • Turn the ignition to the "on" position (do not start the engine) to check the fuel pressure.
  • If pressure is low (below manufacturer specifications), proceed to replace the fuel filter and inspect the fuel pump.
4. Inspect Air Filter
  • Locate the air filter housing and remove the clips or screws with a screwdriver.
  • Take out the air filter and inspect it for dirt or damage.
  • Replace the air filter with a new one if it is dirty.
5. Clean or Replace MAF Sensor
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the MAF sensor.
  • Remove the MAF sensor from the air intake duct using a screwdriver.
  • Clean the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner spray (do not touch the sensor with fingers).
  • Reinstall the sensor and reconnect the electrical connector.
6. Inspect and Replace Ignition Coils (if necessary)
  • Remove any components blocking access to the ignition coils.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition coils.
  • Remove the ignition coils using a socket set.
  • Install new ignition coils and reconnect electrical connectors.
  • Reassemble any components removed for access.
