Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface.
  • Gather the necessary tools: a clean lint-free cloth.
2. Locate the Power Steering Fluid Reservoir
  • Open the hood and secure it with the hood prop.
  • Find the power steering fluid reservoir, typically located near the engine, often labeled with a steering wheel icon.
3. Check Fluid Level
  • If the reservoir has a dipstick:

    1. Remove the cap and pull out the dipstick.
    2. Wipe the dipstick clean with a lint-free cloth.
    3. Insert the dipstick back into the reservoir and then remove it again.
    4. Check the fluid level against the high and low indicators on the dipstick.
  • If the reservoir is transparent:

    1. Simply observe the fluid level through the side markings.
    2. Ensure the fluid level is between the 'MIN' and 'MAX' marks.
4. Add Fluid if Necessary
  • If fluid is below the 'MIN' mark:
    1. Use only the recommended power steering fluid (refer to owner’s manual for specifications).
    2. Pour the fluid into the reservoir slowly until it reaches the 'MAX' mark.
    3. Re-secure the cap tightly after filling.
