Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver, multimeter, and replacement key fob battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and turned off.
2. Replace the Key Fob Battery
  1. Use the flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old battery and note the orientation for the new battery.
  3. Insert the new battery (CR2032) in the same orientation as the old one.
  4. Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob
  1. Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
  3. Within five seconds, turn the key back to "OFF" and remove it.
  4. Press and hold the "LOCK" button on the key fob for approximately 5 seconds.
  5. Turn the ignition back to "ON" and check if the key fob responds.
