Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Secure the vehicle with wheel chocks.
  • Wear safety glasses and gloves.
2. Gather Tools and Equipment
  • Tools Required:
    • Brake bleeder kit or clear plastic tubing
    • 10mm or 12mm wrench (depending on the bleeder screw size)
    • Brake fluid (Honda OEM or equivalent DOT 3/4)
    • Clean cloths or rags
    • Container for old brake fluid
3. Begin Bleeding Process
  • Step 3.1: Start with the Brake Furthest from the Master Cylinder
    • Begin with the rear passenger side brake caliper.
    • Locate the bleeder screw on the brake caliper.
  • Step 3.2: Attach Bleeder Kit
    • Place a clear tube over the bleeder screw and submerge the other end in a container with brake fluid.
  • Step 3.3: Bleed the Brakes
    • Have an assistant pump the brake pedal several times and hold it down.
    • Open the bleeder screw using the wrench to allow fluid to flow out until no air bubbles are seen.
    • Close the bleeder screw while the pedal is still pressed, then have the assistant release the brake pedal.
  • Step 3.4: Repeat Process
    • Repeat the process until the fluid runs clear without bubbles.
    • Ensure to check and refill the master cylinder reservoir as necessary to avoid drawing air back into the system.
4. Move to Remaining Brakes
  • Step 4.1: Repeat for Other Brakes
    • Follow the same procedure for the remaining brakes in this order: rear driver side, front passenger side, and finally front driver side.
5. Final Checks
  • Step 5.1: Inspect Brake Fluid Level
    • Check the master cylinder reservoir and top off with fresh brake fluid.
  • Step 5.2: Test Brake Pedal
    • Press the brake pedal multiple times to ensure a firm feel.
  • Step 5.3: Check for Leaks
    • Inspect all bleeder screws and brake lines for any leaks.
