Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver, multimeter, replacement battery (CR2032), and a soft cloth.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and the ignition is off.
2. Replace the Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the Key Fob:

    • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing along the seam.
    • Be careful not to damage the fob casing.
  2. Remove the Old Battery:

    • Take note of the battery orientation (positive and negative sides).
    • Carefully remove the old battery from its compartment.
  3. Insert the New Battery:

    • Replace it with a new CR2032 battery, ensuring the orientation matches the original.
  4. Reassemble the Key Fob:

    • Align the two halves of the fob and press them together until they snap back into place.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Enter Programming Mode:

    • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
    • Press the "Lock" button on the key fob within 5 seconds.
    • Turn the ignition to "OFF" and back to "ON" twice, then press "Lock" again.
  2. Test the Key Fob:

    • After reprogramming, test all functions (lock, unlock, panic) to verify they are working.
