Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and components.
  • Tools Required:
    • OBD-II scanner
    • Flathead screwdriver
    • Phillips screwdriver
    • New key fob battery (CR2032)
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Ensure the vehicle is in park and the engine is off before starting the procedure.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  • Using the flathead screwdriver, gently pry open the key fob casing.
  • Remove the old battery and replace it with a new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  • Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob
  • Sit inside the vehicle with all doors closed.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine), then turn it back to "Off."
  • Repeat this cycle (On to Off) two more times, ending with the key in the "On" position.
  • Press and hold the "Lock" button on the key fob for one second.
  • Turn the key back to the "Off" position and remove it from the ignition.
  • Test the key fob to confirm it is now working.
