Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, transmission fluid.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Transmission Fluid Check
  • Tools Required: Transmission fluid dipstick or funnel.
  • Remove the transmission fluid dipstick and check the fluid level. If low, add fluid as per manufacturer specifications.
  • If the fluid is dirty or burnt, proceed to the fluid change step.
3. Throttle Position Sensor Inspection
  • Locate the throttle position sensor on the throttle body.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector and use a multimeter to check the resistance or voltage output.
  • If readings are out of spec, replace the TPS.
4. Mass Airflow Sensor Cleaning
  • Disconnect the MAF sensor wiring harness.
  • Remove the MAF sensor from the intake duct.
  • Clean the sensor with MAF sensor cleaner; do not touch the sensor element.
  • Reinstall the MAF sensor and reconnect the wiring harness.
5. Transmission Service (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Transmission fluid pump, drain pan, socket set.
  • Drain the old transmission fluid into a drain pan.
  • Replace the transmission filter if accessible.
  • Refill with new transmission fluid using the manufacturer-recommended type.
