Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Small flathead screwdriver, multimeter, replacement battery (CR2032).
  • Safety Warnings: Ensure the vehicle is in park and the ignition is off before starting repairs.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old battery carefully, noting the orientation (positive and negative sides).
  3. Insert the new battery (CR2032) in the same orientation as the old one.
  4. Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position (do not start the engine).
  3. Within 5 seconds, turn the ignition to OFF and then back to ON two times.
  4. Turn the ignition to OFF again and remove the key.
