Solution
1. Preparation
  • Disconnect the battery before starting any repairs to ensure safety.
  • Gather tools and parts needed for the repair.
2. Repair Fuel System
  • Fuel Pump Replacement

    1. Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump relay and starting the engine until it stalls.
    2. Lift the rear seat to access the fuel pump assembly.
    3. Disconnect the electrical connector and fuel lines from the fuel pump.
    4. Remove the retaining ring and lift out the fuel pump assembly.
    5. Install the new fuel pump, ensuring it is seated properly, and reconnect fuel lines and electrical connectors.
  • Fuel Filter Replacement (if applicable)

    1. Locate the fuel filter near the fuel tank or along the fuel line.
    2. Use a wrench to disconnect the fuel lines from the filter and remove the filter.
    3. Install the new fuel filter, ensuring correct orientation.
3. Repair Ignition System
  • Spark Plug and Ignition Coil Replacement
    1. Remove the engine cover (if equipped) to access the ignition coils.
    2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition coils.
    3. Remove the ignition coils using a socket set.
    4. Replace the old spark plugs with new ones, using the specified gap size.
    5. Reinstall the ignition coils and reconnect the electrical connectors.
4. Clean Throttle Body
  1. Remove the air intake duct from the throttle body by loosening the clamps.
  2. Spray throttle body cleaner onto a clean rag and wipe the inside of the throttle body to remove carbon buildup.
  3. Reinstall the air intake duct and ensure all clamps are secured.
