Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the engine is cool to prevent burns.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety during repairs.
2. Identify and Repair Leak Source
  • Coolant Reservoir Replacement:

    • Remove any components obstructing access to the reservoir.
    • Disconnect the hoses from the reservoir and unbolt it from its mount.
    • Install the new reservoir, reconnect hoses, and secure it.
  • Radiator Hose Replacement:

    • Locate the damaged hose, loosen and remove the clamps.
    • Slide off the old hose and replace it with a new one.
    • Secure the new hose with clamps and check for proper fit.
  • Water Pump Replacement:

    • Drain coolant from the radiator and remove the lower hose.
    • Unbolt the water pump from the engine and remove it.
    • Clean the mounting surface, install the new water pump with a new gasket, and torque to manufacturer specifications.
    • Reconnect the hoses and refill the coolant system.
3. Refill and Bleed Cooling System
  • Refill the coolant reservoir with the appropriate coolant (Honda Type 2 coolant recommended).
  • Start the engine and let it reach operating temperature while monitoring for leaks.
  • Bleed the cooling system if air pockets are present.
