Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shock.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off.
2. Inspect and Replace Headlight Bulbs
  • Remove the headlight assembly by unscrewing the retaining screws.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the headlight.
  • Replace the bulb by twisting it counterclockwise and pulling it out. Insert the new bulb and twist it clockwise to secure.
  • Reconnect the wiring harness and reassemble the headlight assembly.
3. Check and Repair Wiring
  • Inspect the wiring harness for any visible damage or corrosion.
  • If damaged, cut the damaged section of the wire and splice in a new section using butt connectors.
  • Use electrical tape to cover any exposed wires, ensuring a secure connection.
4. Test the Battery and Alternator
  • Use a multimeter to check the battery voltage. It should read between 12.4V to 12.7V when the engine is off and 13.7V to 14.7V when running.
  • If the voltage is low, replace the battery. If it is within range but flickering continues, proceed to check the alternator.
  • Start the engine and measure the alternator output; if it’s below specifications, replace the alternator.
5. Replace Fuses
  • Locate the fuse box and inspect the fuses related to the headlight circuit.
  • If any fuses are blown, replace them with fuses of the same amperage rating.
