  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety.
2. Inspect and Test the Brake Booster
  • Tools Required: Vacuum gauge
  • Check for leaks around the brake booster and ensure the vacuum line is properly connected.
  • If the brake booster is leaking, replace it.
3. Replace the Brake Booster
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, brake line wrench
    1. Remove the bracket securing the brake booster.
    2. Disconnect the vacuum line from the brake booster.
    3. Detach the master cylinder by removing the bolts and gently pulling it away from the booster.

    5. Carefully remove the brake booster from the vehicle.
    6. Install the new brake booster by reversing the removal steps.
    7. Torque the nuts to the manufacturer's specifications.
4. Reconnect Components
  • Reattach the master cylinder to the new brake booster.
  • Reconnect the vacuum line securely.
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
5. Bleed the Brake System
  • Tools Required: Brake bleeder kit
    1. Check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder and refill if necessary.
    2. Bleed the brake system starting from the furthest wheel from the master cylinder to ensure all air is removed.
