Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical shorts.

Tools Required:

  • Socket set
  • Multimeter
  • Wire brush (for cleaning connectors)
  • Replacement fog light bulbs (if necessary)
  • Replacement fuse (if blown)
2. Check and Replace Fog Light Bulbs
  1. Remove the fog light housing by unscrewing the mounting screws.
  2. Disconnect the wiring harness from the fog light bulb.
  3. Remove the old bulb from the socket by twisting it counterclockwise.
  4. Install the new bulb by inserting it into the socket and twisting it clockwise.
  5. Reconnect the wiring harness and reinstall the fog light housing.
3. Inspect and Replace Fuse
  1. Locate the fuse box, usually under the dashboard or in the engine compartment.
  2. Use the diagram on the fuse box cover to locate the fog light fuse.
  3. Remove the fuse using fuse pullers or pliers, and inspect it for continuity.
  4. If the fuse is blown, replace it with one of the same amperage rating.
  5. Close the fuse box.
4. Test Fog Light Switch and Relay
  1. Reconnect the battery and turn on the ignition.
  2. Use a multimeter to check the voltage at the fog light switch.
  3. If no voltage is present, inspect the wiring leading to the switch for damage.
  4. If voltage is present, test the fog light relay by swapping it with a known good relay.
  5. Confirm the fog lights function with the switch after replacing the relay.
