Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, and a new CR2032 battery.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and the ignition is off.
2. Open Key Fob
  • Use the flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing along the seam.
  • Take care to avoid damaging the plastic during the separation.
3. Replace Battery
  • Remove the old battery from its compartment.
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive side (+) faces up.
  • Verify that the battery is seated correctly and is making proper contact.
4. Reassemble Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing.
  • Press the halves together firmly until they click into place, ensuring a secure closure.
5. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  • Press the "Lock" button on the key fob and then turn the ignition off.
