Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: flathead screwdriver (for battery replacement), replacement battery (CR2032), and a clean cloth.
  • Ensure the vehicle is within range and turned off.
2. Battery Replacement
  1. Using a flathead screwdriver, gently pry open the key fob along the seam.
  2. Remove the old battery, noting the orientation.
  3. Insert the new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive side (+) faces upward.
  4. Snap the key fob halves back together until securely closed.
3. Key Fob Reset/Reprogramming
  1. Sit in the vehicle with all doors closed.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  3. Press and hold the "LOCK" button on the key fob for approximately 15 seconds.
  4. Turn the ignition to "OFF" and remove the key.
  5. Test the key fob by attempting to lock and unlock the vehicle.
