Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather the necessary tools.
  • Ensure you have a replacement battery (CR2032).
  • Work in a clean, well-lit area to avoid losing small components.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Tools Required: Flat-head screwdriver or a plastic prying tool.
  • Insert the flat-head screwdriver or prying tool into the seam of the key fob.
  • Carefully twist to separate the two halves of the key fob, taking care not to damage the casing or internal components.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Identify the battery holder and observe the orientation of the old battery (positive and negative sides).
  • Gently pry the old battery out using the screwdriver or your fingers.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Place the new CR2032 battery into the holder, ensuring it is oriented in the same direction as the old battery (positive side facing up).
  • Press down firmly until the battery clicks into place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they snap back into place securely.
  • Ensure there are no gaps between the halves indicating improper closure.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand close to the vehicle and press any button on the key fob to confirm it is functioning properly.
  • If it does not work, recheck the battery orientation and ensure the fob is properly assembled.
