Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather required tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and securely raised with jack stands.
  • Disconnect the battery if working on electrical components.
2. Inspect and Replace Suspension Components

A. Shock Absorbers

  1. Remove the wheel using a lug wrench.
  2. Loosen and remove the bolts securing the shock absorber at the top and bottom using a socket set.
  3. Remove the shock absorber from the vehicle.
  4. Install the new shock absorber by reversing the removal steps.
    • Torque the bolts to manufacturer's specifications (usually around 40-50 lb-ft).

B. Bushings

  1. Locate the suspension arms where the bushings are installed.
  2. Remove the bolts securing the arm to the chassis and the wheel assembly.
  3. Press out the old bushings and press in the new ones using a bushing installation tool.
  4. Reinstall the suspension arm and torque the bolts to specifications.

C. Sway Bar Links

  1. Locate the sway bar links and remove the bolts using a socket and wrench.
  2. Replace the sway bar links with new ones by installing them in the same position.
    • Torque the bolts to specifications (usually around 30-40 lb-ft).
3. Reassemble and Test
  1. Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle.
  2. Reconnect the battery if disconnected.
  3. Perform a test drive to ensure that noise has been eliminated and ride quality is restored.
