Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Jack and jack stands, socket set, pry bar, torque wrench, suspension grease.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the parking brake is engaged.
  • Disconnect the battery if working on electrical suspension components.
2. Inspect and Replace Worn Components

A. Sway Bar Links

  1. Lift the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
  2. Remove the nuts securing the sway bar links to the sway bar and lower control arm.
  3. Inspect the links for damage or excessive wear.
  4. If worn, install new sway bar links and torque the nuts to manufacturer specifications.

B. Shock Absorbers

  2. Inspect the shock for oil leaks and physical damage.
  3. Replace with new shock absorbers if necessary, tightening the bolts to the specified torque.

C. Control Arm Bushings and Ball Joints

  1. Remove the bolts securing the control arm to the frame and wheel hub.
  2. Inspect bushings and ball joints for wear or play.
  3. Replace any worn bushings or ball joints and torque to manufacturer specifications.
3. Reassemble and Test
  1. Reinstall any removed components in reverse order.
  2. Ensure all fasteners are torqued to the specified values.
  3. Reconnect the battery if it was disconnected.
