Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: OBD-II scanner, fuel pressure gauge, multimeter, socket set, and safety glasses.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.
2. Remove Fuel Injector
  1. Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  3. Remove the engine cover if necessary to access fuel injectors.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors.
  5. Remove the fuel rail bolts using a socket set.
  6. Carefully lift the fuel rail and remove the old fuel injectors from the rail.
3. Inspect and Clean
  1. Inspect the fuel injector O-rings for wear and damage.
  2. Clean the injector ports using a suitable cleaner to remove carbon deposits.
  3. Replace O-rings on the new injectors with appropriate lubricant.
4. Install New Fuel Injector
  1. Insert the new fuel injectors into the fuel rail, ensuring they seat properly.
  2. Reinstall the fuel rail onto the engine, securing it with the bolts to the manufacturer’s torque specifications.
  3. Reconnect the electrical connectors to the injectors.
  4. Reconnect the battery terminal.
5. Test and Verify
  1. Reinstall the fuel pump fuse.
  2. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine to prime the fuel system.
  3. Check for fuel leaks around the injectors.
  4. Start the engine and observe for smooth operation and any error codes.
