Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver or a coin, and the replacement battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure you are in a clean, well-lit workspace to avoid losing small parts.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the small slot on the edge of the key fob.
  • Use the flathead screwdriver or coin to gently pry open the key fob case along the seam.
  • Carefully twist the tool to separate the two halves of the key fob without damaging the casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Identify the old battery inside the key fob. Note the orientation of the battery (positive side facing up).
  • Gently lift the old battery out of its compartment using your fingers or a small tool.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Take the new CR2032 battery and insert it into the compartment, ensuring that the positive (+) side is facing up, matching the orientation of the old battery.
  • Press down gently to ensure the battery is seated properly in the compartment.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing back together.
  • Press firmly until you hear a click, confirming that the key fob is securely closed.
