Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather the necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface, and set the parking brake.
  • Place wheel chocks in front of the front wheels for safety.
2. Inspect and Replace Rear Shock Absorbers
  • Tools Required: Socket set, wrench set, jack stands, floor jack, torque wrench
  • Remove the wheels by loosening the lug nuts and then lifting the vehicle with the floor jack.
  • Secure the vehicle on jack stands.
  • Disconnect the lower and upper mounting bolts of the shock absorber using the socket set.
  • Remove the old shock absorber.
  • Install the new shock absorber by reversing the removal steps. Ensure the bolts are torqued to manufacturer's specifications.
3. Inspect and Replace Rear Springs
  • If the springs are found to be damaged:
    • Tools Required: Spring compressor, socket set, wrench set
    • Remove the shock absorbers first (as noted above).
    • Use a spring compressor to safely compress the rear spring.
    • Remove the mounting bolts for the spring and carefully take out the spring.
    • Install the new spring by reversing the procedure, ensuring it is seated correctly.
4. Replace Worn Suspension Bushings
  • Inspect all bushings in the rear suspension for wear.
  • Tools Required: Bushing removal tool, socket set
  • Remove the mounting bolts for the affected control arms or components.
  • Use the bushing removal tool to take out the old bushings and press in new bushings.
  • Reattach all components with the specified torque values.
