Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small screwdriver, replacement battery (typically CR2032 or CR2025), multimeter.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and the ignition is off.
2. Replace the Key Fob Battery
  1. Use a small screwdriver to carefully pry open the key fob case.
  2. Remove the old battery and inspect for corrosion on the terminals.
  3. Insert the new battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) aligns.
  4. Snap the key fob case back together securely.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob
  1. Sit in the driver's seat with all doors closed.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
  3. Turn the key back to "Off" and then remove it.
  4. Within 10 seconds, insert the key back into the ignition and turn it to "On" again.
