Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, torque wrench, electrical contact cleaner.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and ensure the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shock during the repair.
2. Inspect and Replace Bulbs
  1. Open the hood and locate the headlight assembly.
  2. Remove the headlight cover using a socket set.
  3. Carefully disconnect the wiring harness from the bulb.
  4. Remove the old bulb by twisting it counterclockwise.
  5. Install the new bulb, ensuring not to touch the glass with bare hands.
  6. Reconnect the wiring harness and replace the headlight cover.
3. Check and Replace Battery
  1. Inspect the battery terminals for corrosion or loose connections.
  2. If corrosion is present, clean terminals with a wire brush.
  3. Use a multimeter to check the battery voltage; it should be around 12.6 volts when fully charged.
  4. If the battery voltage is low, replace the battery with a compatible one, ensuring proper connection and securing with a socket set.
4. Test and Replace Alternator
  1. Start the vehicle and measure the voltage at the battery with the engine running; it should read between 13.7 to 14.7 volts.
  2. If the voltage is outside this range, replace the alternator.
  3. To replace, disconnect the battery again, remove the alternator belt, and unbolt the alternator using a socket set.
  4. Install the new alternator, reconnect the belt, and battery.
5. Inspect and Repair Wiring
  1. Trace the wiring harness from the headlight back to the fuse box.
  2. Look for any frayed wires, corrosion, or loose connections.
  3. Repair any damaged wiring by splicing in new wire or using electrical tape as necessary.
  4. Reconnect all connectors and secure any loose wires.
