Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather the necessary tools and materials: a small flathead screwdriver and a new CR2450 battery.
  • Ensure you are working in a clean and well-lit area.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the small slot on the side or back of the key fob where the key blade is inserted.
  • Insert the flathead screwdriver into the slot and gently twist to pry open the key fob casing. Be careful not to damage the plastic.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Identify the battery within the key fob; it will be a CR2450 battery.
  • Gently lift the battery out of its compartment using the flathead screwdriver. Take care not to damage any surrounding components.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Position the new CR2450 battery in the compartment, ensuring that the positive (+) side is facing up.
  • Press down gently to secure the battery in place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing back together.
  • Press firmly around the edges of the key fob to snap it back into place until you hear a click.
