Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, fuel pressure gauge, basic hand tools (sockets, wrenches).
  • Safety Warnings: Disconnect the battery before working on electrical systems. Allow the engine to cool before starting the diagnosis.
2. Replace Faulty Fuel Injector(s)
  1. Relieve fuel system pressure:
    • Locate the fuel pump fuse and remove it.
    • Start the engine until it stalls to relieve fuel pressure.
  2. Remove the engine cover:
    • Use a socket or wrench to remove any bolts securing the engine cover.
  3. Disconnect the fuel injector wiring harness:
    • Carefully unplug the electrical connectors from the faulty injector(s).
  4. Remove the fuel rail:
    • Unscrew the bolts securing the fuel rail to the intake manifold.
    • Gently lift the fuel rail, taking care not to damage the injectors.
  5. Remove the faulty injector:
    • Twist and pull the injector out of the fuel rail or intake manifold, depending on its configuration.
  6. Install the new injector:
    • Lubricate the O-ring of the new injector with clean engine oil.
    • Insert the new injector into the fuel rail or intake manifold, ensuring it is seated properly.
  7. Reinstall the fuel rail:
    • Carefully position the fuel rail back onto the intake manifold and secure it with bolts to the specified torque.
  8. Reconnect the wiring harness:
    • Plug in the electrical connectors for the fuel injectors.
  9. Reinstall the engine cover:
    • Secure the engine cover back in place with the appropriate bolts.
