Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shock.
  • Allow the engine to cool if it was recently running.
2. Remove Ignition Coil
  • Locate the ignition coil; it is usually mounted on top of the engine near the spark plugs.
  • Remove the electrical connector by pressing the release tab and pulling it off gently.
  • Unbolt the ignition coil using a socket set (typically 10mm).
  • Carefully pull the ignition coil straight out of the cylinder head.
3. Inspect and Replace
  • Inspect the ignition coil for signs of cracks, corrosion, or carbon tracking.
  • If the ignition coil is faulty, replace it with a new one that meets OEM specifications.
  • Ensure the new coil is seated properly in the cylinder head before tightening.
4. Reassemble
  • Reconnect the electrical connector securely to the new ignition coil.
  • Repeat the removal process for any additional ignition coils if necessary.
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
