Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical issues during repair.
2. Remove Underbody Shield
  • Use a socket set to remove bolts securing the underbody shield.
  • Carefully lower the shield and set it aside.
3. Drain Transmission Fluid
  • Place a drain pan underneath the transmission.
  • Remove the transmission drain plug using a socket wrench and allow fluid to completely drain.
  • Replace the drain plug securely after draining.
4. Remove CVT Belt Cover
  • Unscrew the bolts holding the CVT belt cover using a socket set.
  • Gently remove the cover to expose the CVT belt and pulleys.
5. Inspect and Replace CVT Belt
  • Inspect the CVT belt for damage; if worn or damaged, proceed with replacement.
  • Loosen the tensioner to relieve tension from the belt.
  • Remove the old CVT belt from the pulleys.
  • Install a new CVT belt by following the correct routing as per the vehicle’s service manual.
  • Ensure the tension is set correctly on the new belt.
6. Reassemble Components
  • Replace the CVT belt cover and secure it with bolts.
  • Refill the transmission with new fluid as specified in the owner’s manual.
  • Reinstall the underbody shield and secure it with bolts.
7. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the battery terminals securely.
