Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Wear safety goggles and gloves.
2. Lift the Vehicle
  • Use a hydraulic jack to lift the vehicle at the designated lift points.
  • Secure the vehicle with jack stands to ensure safety.
3. Remove the Wheels
  • Use a socket set to remove the lug nuts from the front wheels.
  • Carefully take off the wheels and set them aside.
4. Inspect Struts
  • Visually inspect the strut for leaks, dents, or other damage.
  • Check for any rust or corrosion on the strut housing.
5. Remove the Struts
  • Disconnect the sway bar link using a wrench.
  • Remove the bolts securing the strut to the steering knuckle.
  • Access the strut top mount in the engine bay or under the dash and remove the retaining nuts.
  • Carefully pull the strut out from the vehicle.
6. Replace with New Struts
  • Install new struts in the reverse order of removal.
  • Ensure that all bolts are torqued to the manufacturer's specifications (refer to service manual).
  • Reattach the sway bar link.
7. Reinstall the Wheels
  • Place the wheels back on the vehicle and hand-tighten the lug nuts.
  • Lower the vehicle back to the ground and torque the lug nuts to the specified value.
8. Final Inspection
  • Check the alignment of the wheels after the strut replacement.
  • Ensure that all components are securely fastened.
