Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off.
  • Wear safety goggles and gloves.
2. Inspect and Replace Brake Fluid Reservoir
  • Remove the engine cover (if applicable).
  • Locate the brake fluid reservoir and inspect for cracks.
  • If damaged, disconnect the reservoir lines and remove the reservoir.
  • Install a new brake fluid reservoir and reconnect the lines securely.
3. Replace Damaged Brake Lines
  • Identify the section of brake line that is leaking.
  • Use a line wrench to disconnect the affected brake line from the caliper and master cylinder.
  • Measure and cut a new brake line to the appropriate length.
  • Flare the ends of the new line and install it, ensuring all connections are tight.
  • Bleed the brake system to remove air.
4. Replace Brake Calipers (if necessary)
  • If the caliper is leaking, remove the wheel and tire.
  • Disconnect the brake line from the caliper using a line wrench.
  • Remove the caliper mounting bolts and take off the caliper.
  • Install a new brake caliper and torque the mounting bolts to manufacturer specifications.
  • Reattach the brake line and bleed the brake system.
5. Inspect and Replace Master Cylinder (if necessary)
  • If the master cylinder is leaking, remove the brake lines from the master cylinder.
  • Unbolt the master cylinder from the brake booster and remove it.
  • Install the new master cylinder, ensuring the gasket is properly seated.
  • Reconnect the brake lines and torque to specifications.
  • Bleed the brake system thoroughly.
